It was a banner day for the Red Sox in numerous ways: the team received its 2007 championship rings, the team won a 5-0 shutout and Bill Buckner came home.
Lest it be overshadowed, though, it's important to note that favorite son Steven Tyler of Aerosmith and Neil Diamond both chipped in with performances for the ages.
As Sox & Dawgs points out, it would have been nice to have the Standells perform, too, to complete the trifecta. But hey, you can't complain with this kind of performance:

If I haven't said it before, I'll say it now: You're essentially dead to me if you can't appreciate a lil Aerosmith in your life.
