Aerosmith’s Hamilton, historian Goodwin to play the Adams
Boston Herald, MA
April 22, 2008
Aerosmith bassist Tom Hamilton is shedding his rock star image for a presidential one, donning a wig and period costume to transform into John Adams for a Boston charity.
Hamilton will be joined by historian Doris Kearns Goodwin, who will play Abigail Adams, in "Banned in Boston," an annual musical revue that raises money for Urban Improv, a violence prevention program for children and teenagers.
Hamilton and Goodwin are scheduled to perform Saturday at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Planning to join them are Boston Mayor Tom Menino, Harvard President Drew Gilpin Faust and Boston Red Sox President Larry Lucchino, among other local celebrities.
This will be the 16th performance of "Banned in Boston."
