Boston_com: Hi everyone, this is Boston.com letting you know that Joey Kramer is running a little late. He should be here shortly, so please stay tuned for any updates.

Joey_Kramer: Hello everyone. Sorry I'm late but I'm happy to be here with you all so lets get rollin'.

AEROFAN001__Guest_: Joey we hear that recording for the 1st album is underway how does it feel this time around

Joey_Kramer: Yes - we're re-recording Mama kin, Make It, Dream On, and Movin' Out because our record company lost the masters...can't wait for you to hear it. Old School Returns!

F_I_N_E___Guest_: When can we expect the new Aerosmith album to come out? Do you guys have some great material up your sleeves?

Joey_Kramer: we hope for a new album by late next fall.

F_I_N_E___Guest_: What's your favorite song that you are working on for the new album?

Joey_Kramer: It's a song called "Innocent Man."

Luciana__Guest_: Hi! I'm from Brazil, and I was at the concert this year in Sao Paulo. It was the best day of my life!! I was wondering if the band thinks about touring around the globe again any time soon. THANKS!! I LOVE YOU ALL!!!

Joey_Kramer: Not until the end of next year. Thanks and we love you all too!

innersight__Guest_: what inspires you?

Joey_Kramer: what inspires me is love, compassion and fast cars.

rockface__Guest_: Hi Joey. Do you think that time has come for the band so as to write a song all together again? Rockface from Greece

Joey_Kramer: Yes, I think that time is long over-due. You may see that on the next record.

bostongirl__Guest_: what about tomorrow night are you most looking forward to?

Joey_Kramer: I'm most looking forward to mixing it up socially with all the local bands. Can't wait!

bostongirl__Guest_: are you excited to get involved with Boston's local music scene?

Joey_Kramer: Absolutely!!! It's also long over-due.

jb__Guest_: Do you remember living on the top floor of 97 Lake Ave in Newton in 1971/2? I knew you then. 35 years later - you are amazing !

Joey_Kramer: Oh yeah! I definately remember living there.

mollysue56__Guest_: I'm just wondering what you think of the local music scene here in boston?? Do you like it?

Joey_Kramer: Yeah, I love it.

JRC23__Guest_: How do you feel being named honorary chairman of the BMAs?

Joey_Kramer: I think "honorary" pretty much describes that. It's an honor to play the small role that I'm playing in this year's BMA's and I'm grateful to do it.

Vivalaselvis__Guest_: What was your favoite club to play back in the day?

Joey_Kramer: Alex Cooley's Electric Ballroom in Atlanta, GA. It was the best scene back in the 70's.

Brendan__Guest_: Joey - What new music, Boston and/or National, are bands that have caught your ears & eyes?

Joey_Kramer: Not that these are all that new but No Doubt, Green Day, Foo Fighters - and a lot a big reason has to do with the drummers in the band.

Lisa__Guest_: Congratulations on being named honorary chairperson! Sat next to you at lunch yesterday and didn't want to bug you (it must be a drag at times) so am glad to be able to offer my congrats in this more civilized and polite way. When you look back at your career successes, it must be very gratifying to "bring it back home" to Boston at the BMAs?

Joey_Kramer: yeah, for sure! And thank you for respecting my privacy.

jamee__Guest_: Joey, What is Aerosmith planning as far as new albums and upcoming tours? Are there any plans on another "blues" album like Honkin on Bobo?

Joey_Kramer: New album - late fall...and tour to follow!

eddie_d_2__Guest_: Who is producing the new record?

Joey_Kramer: No one person - there's going to be multiple producers.

Aerofemme__Guest_: How did you like being in Europe again, for the first time in a long while? Do you reckon you'll do it again some day? Greetings from Holland

Joey_Kramer: Europe was fantastic - it was a great trip. And YES, we will definately be back!

jamee__Guest_: speaking of fast cars, which one is your current favorite... I met you when you had the Gallardo spyder, anything "better" in the stable now?

Joey_Kramer: 430 Spyder and an Audi R8.

Junior_KG__Guest_: Is it true that Extreme is reuniting at the BMAs and will perform live?

Joey_Kramer: Yes that is absolutely true and I'm looking forward to it!!!

Last_Child__Guest_: When you lived on Comm Ave way back what local clubs did you play? What was your favorite?

Joey_Kramer: We played clubs that no longer exist. The Rat and Kkk-Katy's.

Aerosmith_Rules__Guest_: Hey Joey, what made you decide to participate in this years boston music awards?

Joey_Kramer: I wanted to get closer to the local scene.

aprjk__Guest_: What is your favorite car?

Joey_Kramer: Lotus Exige-s

WalkThisWay__Guest_: is this new album more like 9 Lives, Pump or Rocks? Because you know we all want Rocks.

Joey_Kramer: Gonna be like all of those records wrapped into one.

Last_Child__Guest_: What do you think of the Big Dig, isn't it the worst? THink you'll mention it on the new album?

Joey_Kramer: hahaha - dont' get caught in the tunnel.

Aeroshells__Guest_: Aerosmith has been rocking for 30+ years now. Bands these days seem to come and go. Why do you think that is?

Joey_Kramer: We do it because we love to rock...age or the amount of years has nothing to do with it.

Last_Child__Guest_: Why do you think Aerosmith is so big in Japan? When did u first tour there?

Joey_Kramer: For the same reason we're big in other places...the Japanese love the music. We first toured Japan in 1976.

Aerosmith_Rules__Guest_: What's your favorite Aerosmith song???

Joey_Kramer: Lord of the Thighs - off the second record.

amanda126__Guest_: Have you worked with Johnny A before?

Joey_Kramer: Yes, I have. We're old friends. He's a great guitar player.

TeriTroub__Guest_: Is anyone else from Aerosmith comming to the show tomorrow???

Joey_Kramer: Tom Hamilton will be there.

luisjp__Guest_: Joey, you've been to Brazil this year, and I'd like to know if you enjoyed being here, and if you want to come again.

Joey_Kramer: Loved being thre and will definately come back.

JayO__Guest_: Will Aerosmith ever take another hack at something like Mama Kin's again? I saw a few great shows there and there definitely aren't enough places like that in Boston.

Joey_Kramer: yeah, I think we would. Glad you liked it there! Thanks!

Jamie20010__Guest_: As far as the Boston Music Awards go - who or what band are you excited to see/meet? Is it possible for you to get star struck?

Joey_Kramer: Yes, it's possible to get star struck. I'm looking forward to seeing James Montgomery, Fahrenheit and really looking forward to seeing Extreme.

jimbo__Guest_: Hi Joey - Where did you get the white drum harware on your Kit??

Joey_Kramer: the company makes it for me special.

jjj__Guest_: being from NY but living in Boston......Yankees or Sox?

Joey_Kramer: Sox!

Vivalaselvis__Guest_: Which is you all time favorite band ( besides Aerosmith)

Joey_Kramer: One of them is Tower of Power and also Van Halen.

amanda126__Guest_: What musicians have you worked with in the Boston area? And who would you like to collaborate with?

Joey_Kramer: We've worked with David Hull and also James Montgomery.

aerocarol__Guest_: How is the shoulder feeling? Have you fully recovered from the shoulder surgery?

Joey_Kramer: Yeah, I've completely recovered and it's 100% back to normal...thanks for asking!

Joey_Kramer: Hey everyone - thanks so much for hanging with me. Thanks for all your questions and I'll see you at the BMA's!!! See ya!
