Just one more Main Grandstand Arena show remains to be named after the California Mid-State Fair announced country band Rascal Flatts and hard rockers Godsmack will be part of this year’s concert lineup.
The fair also announced two free shows. Teen pop stars Jonas Brothers and classic rockers Foghat will perform July 30 and Aug. 1, respectively.
Fair chief executive Vivian Robertson said Wednesday she believes this year’s concert lineup is precedent-setting.
“I feel we have the best entertainment lineup that we’ve ever had,” Robertson said.
The one main grandstand show that has not been announced should be revealed soon, Robertson said.
Tickets for Aerosmith, which will perform July 25, the fair’s opening night, sold out in 3 1/2 hours last month.
Robertson reported strong ticket sales for country stars Martina McBride, performing July 31 with Little Big Town, and Dierks Bently, performing Aug. 1 with LeAnn Rimes.
Tickets for Bob Dylan (July 27), Daughtry (July 28) and Chris Botti (Aug. 3) go on sale Friday at 10 a.m.
Tickets for Rascal Flatts, named best vocal group at the Academy of Country Music Awards on Tuesday night, will be $78, $68 and $53, the same price as Aerosmith. Tickets go on sale June 8 at 10 a.m.
Tickets for Godsmack will be $36, $26 and $20 and go on sale May 31 at 10 a.m.
Tickets for fair shows are available through www.midstatefair.com, www.vallitix.com, or by phone a 800-909-FAIR or 888-825-5484.
