Why the Palace loves Rod
Rod Stewart plays the Palace of Auburn Hills tonight. So what makes this evening special? Stewart, who played two Palace shows in October 1988, was one of the site's first concert acts. He'll be honored tonight with the Prestigious Platinum Ticket Award for attracting more than 230,000 to Palace Sports & Entertainment venues. Among previous honorees: Bob Seger, Barenaked Ladies, Kid Rock, Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Elton John, Neil Diamond, Bon Jovi and Aerosmith.
