Launch Radio Networks reports: We're less than a month away from the start of the Aerosmith/Motley Crue "Route of All Evil" tour, and the excitement is building. The bands have known each other for many years, having recorded in adjoining studios in Vancouver, so they're all looking forward to spending time together. Aerosmith lead guitarist Joe Perry told Launch that his Crue memories go back even farther, to the time when they first proved themselves to everyone. "To me, Motley Crue is still a baby band, you know?" he said. "I remember seeing them play... I think it might have been one of their first big arena shows, at the Santa Monica Civic Center (in California), when their first record came out. And of that generation of bands, they were the best ones, you know what I mean?"
The "Route of All Evil" tour gets underway in Columbus, Ohio, on September 5.
Both bands are working on new albums, but neither one will be ready before the tour.
