Joint Rolling Stones, The Who, Aerosmith concert in Canada?
Online Rock Radio, Greece
July 7, 2006
If published reports are to be believed, a massive concert featuring classic rock legends the Rolling Stones, the Who, and Aerosmith is being lined up for Eastern Canada in September. Several sources are reporting that the Stones will play an outdoor show in Halifax, Nova Scotia, on September 23rd, and that the bill might include the Who and Aerosmith. There's been no official confirmation of anything, beyond the Halifax government authorizing $100,000 for security and related costs for a "high profile" event, but they won't reveal what's being planned. The late September date coincides with when the Who are supposed to be touring North America, so that could work out, but Aerosmith is already committed to playing in Camden, New Jersey, on September 23rd, as part of their Route Of All Evil tour with Motley Crue.
The Stones are also rumored to play a handful of other shows across Canada this autumn.
