Event: Big Bash; No Booze
The Boston Globe
May 19, 2005
"How can you not love Victory Program, the substance abuse recovery outfit that helps the famous, the infamous, and the anonymous? Tonight, VP celebrates its 30th anniversary at the Park Plaza Hotel and Towers Imperial Ballroom beginning with a silent auction at 5:30. Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer will also conduct a live auction. He says, 'I practice trying to be a good human being, and Victory allows me to do that and bring some of what I can offer to other people.' As to the once drug-addled Aerosmith, he adds, 'By all means, we shouldn't be doing what we're doing. God knew that there were many people we could make happy and gave us a second chance, and we were smart enough to take advantage of it.' There will be at least three Aerosmith items auctioned off. Steven Tyler might be there too. Admission: $150.00 - 64 Arlington St., 617-541-0222."
