Ted Nugent Credits Joe & Steven

Terre Haute Tribune Star
February 16, 2005

"It is fitting that Ted Nugent will spend the early hours of his March 12 trip to Terre Haute shooting machine guns. He is now 56 years old. But now, more than ever, Nugent delivers his opinions and guitar licks in rapid fire, loudly. And his gig as the opening act of an odd Hulman Center concert billing headlined by country singer Toby Keith offers rock-n-roll's 'Motor City Madman' the perfect forum....."

"Nugent found an ally in Keith. The Nuge's old rock buddies Joe Perry and Stephen Tyler of Aerosmith and Sammy Hagar let him know Keith was a fan. They met, shared the stage once with Willie Nelson for a CMT special and, at Keith's invitation, eventually wound up on the same USO tour of the Persian Gulf in 2004.....Nugent said, 'We bonded on every important quality-of-life issue...And as we were flying home...I said...the impact we had on these soldiers...we're idiots if we don't take this on the road in America.....'"
