Super Bowl Review

Superbowl XXXIX Most Boring Bowl Ever

"Out of all the years I have seen the Superbowl, this year was by far the worst. There are the fans that are into the Superbowl for the game and then there are those who are just in it for the halftime show and commercials.....Let's move onto the halftime show. I like Paul McCartney, but that was no halftime show. The 'wardrobe malfunction' stirred more interest....."

"On Jan. 28, 2000, which was the best Superbowl halftime show ever, Aerosmith, NSYNC, Britney Spears, Nelly and Mary J. Blige shared the same stage on the night the St. Louis Rams won. The shows are more interesting when you don't expect who will show up....."

The Penalty Box: Patriots a Dynasty, Game a Super Bust

"Is it just me, or was it not quite the same this time around?.....The first flaw was the pre-game concert.....While last year's pre-game performance featured Boston rock legends Aerosmith, this year I was treated to some country singer named Gretchen Wilson....."

"After a decent half, it was time for the famous Super Bowl halftime show. This year's performer: Sir Paul McCartney, and, let's face it, the show was a Super Bowl bust.

I mean, it was certainly worthy of watching on VH1, but when I think of a Super Bowl extravaganza, I picture Michael Jackson in 1993 performing 'Heal the World' with 3,500 children singing backup. I remember the magical fusion of AeroSync three years ago when
Steven Tyler joined forces with Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears. This year, we got a British guy and a piano. Paul, you are a legend, but 'Hey Jude' has no place in football....."
