Paid, SplitStream Host Aerosmith Site
February 23, 2005 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Celebrity Web sites, services and e-commerce software developer Paid, Inc. (paid.com) announced on Tuesday it will partner with SplitStream Technologies, LLC (splitstream.com) to develop and maintain the ecommerce system behind rock band Aerosmith's Aero Force One fan club Web site (aeroforceone.com) and additional celebrity fan club Web sites Paid plans to develop.
The Westwood, Massachusetts-based SplitStream, a subsidiary of Susquehanna Capital Management, LLC, provides enterprise level management for IT infrastructure, Web application development and data center managed services. Over the past several years it has developed valuable knowledge of fan management application development working closely with AF1 and other organizations.
SplitStream says it is one of the few technology companies that have created commerce systems with the application development and network architecture capable of handling the high traffic volumes that occur during online ticket sales events.
"Our unusual combination of application development and network architecture, coupled with our unique experience in the servicing of high-traffic, fan oriented Web sites makes us ideally suited to partner with Paid for the ongoing development and hosting of a turnkey solution that will enable Paid to rapidly deploy new celebrity fan club sites," says Steve Mammone, principal of SplitStream.
