Velvet Revolver recorded an acoustic version of their song "Fall to Pieces" on Wednesday (Jan. 26) during an all-day session at Lavish studios, the Los Angeles recording/rehearsal facility owned by Velvet Revolver singer Scott Weiland and producer/engineer Douglas Grean. Meanwhile, a release date has been set for the recently recorded benefit single featuring a number of today's top pop/rock stars, including Velvet Revolver, Aerosmith's Steven Tyler and Ozzy Osbourne. The cover of Eric Clapton's "Tears in Heaven", sales of which will benefit the Disasters Emergency Committee's Tsunami Earthquake Appeal, will receive a U.K. release on Monday, February 21, according to informed sources.
