The Western English Sales Association show, held twice a year, draws an estimated 5,000 buyers to view 2,500 product lines....."
".....No Western outfit is complete without a pair of boots, so showrooms selling footwear were doing a brisk business that spilled into LoDo.....While prices for stock Liberty boots start at about $500, custom orders easily can exceed $1,000. Clients include such celebrities as Steven Tyler of Aerosmith.....Between customers, Tony Benattar, owner of the Toronto-based company, said....., 'Everyone wants to be a rock star.'....."
".....photographer Jim Arndt admitted to owning more than 100 pairs himself.....Boots are wrapped up in the 'romance of the cowboy,' Arndt said. 'And today you can get anything you want in a cowboy boot. It can be studded and sparkly, high-heeled or low-heeled. You can buy it off the shelf for $100 or spend $5,000.'....."
